Placido Flores' Obituary
The Golden Gates of Heaven opened for Placido C Flores and went to be with Lord, and his past love ones. On August 26, 2020 at the age of 82. Placido was born in Uvalde Tx to the late Jose Maria Flores Sr & Francisca Flores.
Placido was a migrant worker. He would travel with family to Minnesota and New Mexico every year to work. As the years passed and they stopped traveling he finally retired, and those days he spent around his nieces, nephews, and friends. Placido was loved and cared by his family and his friends. He will be missed dearly and his niece Yolanda Cordova who spent many days and hours with him till his last moments of life.
Placido was a man with a great sense of humor, was very caring and loving around everybody. No matter who passed by him. He always said I know him or her, would say Hi even to a stranger he did not know. He enjoyed watching his cowboy movies and listening to the radio. The last couple of years he was in a nursing home, but Placido was cared by staff very well and made all the nurses laugh. He enjoyed playing bingo around his peers. Placido enjoyed the outdoors. He liked just sitting outside and enjoyed the beauty of mother nature.
He leaves behind his nephews Juan Flores, Armando Flores, Joe Flores, Ernest Flores, and nieces Rebecca Polanco( Jose Polanco), Susana Sing( John Sing), Isabel Hernandez ( Mario Hernandez), Beatrice Losoya, Juana Mancha, Linda Molina, Gloria Martinez, Rosemary Flores, Elida Salas, Margarita Vorrath, Veronica Flores, Dora Perez. Maribel Flores, Joida Poitra, Sulema Losoya, Kathy Castillo, Jackie Rios, Isidra Morena, Jessica Hernandez, Gilbert Mancha, Jennifer Losoya, George Rios
Half siblings: Sister’s Esther Villarreal (Alfred Villarreal) from Menasha Wisconsin, Maria and Vivian Sisneros from Albuquerque NM, Brothers Joe Camacho (Lupe Camacho) from Houston Tx., Jose Flores (Lydia Flores) from San Antonio Tx.
Placido was precede in death by his parents 4 brothers, Cayetano Flores, Luis Flores, Jose Maria Flores Jr., Manuel Flores, Nieces Frances Cordova, Raquel Flores, Dora Flores. Viviana Ortiz.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M., Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home-Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
Cremation is under direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
