Rachel V. Velasquez, 55 of Uvalde died Tuesday July 11, 2023 at her residence in Uvalde.
A Visitation will take place Saturday, July 22, 2023 and Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. both days at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will take place both days at 7:00 P.M. A Mass set for Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation to follow.
She was born on June 8, 1968 in Uvalde to Lazaro Velasquez and Maria Lorenza Velasquez.
She is survived by her two sons; Arturo Aguirre of Uvalde, Miguel wife Brittani Aguirre of Uvalde, one daughter; Lisa Olivarez of Uvalde one brother; Lazaro “Larry” Velasquez three sisters; Lorena De Luna of Uvalde, San Juanita (Jesus Alfonso Barba) Velasquez Norma Galan of Uvalde and 5- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be; Miguel Aguirre, Arturo Aguirre Jr., Devin Galan, Francisco Velasquez, Alfredo “Alfred” Velasquez and Frankie Velasquez, Daniel Flores, George Galan all of Uvalde.
She is preceded in death by both her parents; Lazaro Velasquez and Maria Lorenza Velasquez two brothers; Alfredo “Alfred” Velasquez and Francisco “Frank” Velasquez.
