Ralph Gonzalez's Obituary
Ralph Gonzalez, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Val Verde
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on June 10, 1947 in
Brackettville,
Texas and was raised by his grandparents, Jesus Rodriguez and Juanita
Talamantez. He attended elementary school in Brackettville, Texas and Adams County High
School of Commerce City, Colorado. He had a love for politics and fought for what he believed
in, which led to the nickname “Ralph the Mouth!” He was passionate about his work and
accomplished many endeavors, including being Constable for Kinney County, Texas. He owned
his own trash business and worked extremely hard for his family. He retired from the Kinney
County Sheriff’s Department as a Jailer/Dispatcher after 16 years. He enjoyed his western
movies, and you didn’t interrupt his football games especially if his Denver Broncos or San
Francisco 49ers were playing. Above all, he enjoyed and loved his family, he was always happy
to see his children and his grandchildren, they were the light of his life.
He will forever be missed and loved dearly. A true hero. Rest in peace, Father for we will see
each other once again. We love you!
He is preceded in death by his mother Olivia Rodriguez, grandparents Jesus and Juanita
Rodriguez, sister Consuelo Flores, son Ralph Gonzalez Jr., and grandchildren Molly Gonzalez
and Gino Gonzalez.
Ralph was survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Candy Gonzalez; daughter Tammy Gonzalez
and husband Chris; son Robert Gonzalez and wife Elizabeth; daughter Lorina Flores and
husband David; daughter Veronica Ibanez and husband Javier; son Jesse Gonzalez and wife
Graciela; brother Arnold Cruz; sister Gloria Gonzales;7 grandsons and 8 granddaughters.
Private services were held for family and friends at the Gonzalez residence on October 30,
2022
Services are entrusted to Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas
