Raul Samarripa, age 89 of Uvalde, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Raul Samarripa was born January 27, 1931 to Jose Samarripa and Feliz Gonzales. He is preceded in death by both parents; Jose Samarripa and Feliz Gonzales Samarripa, wife, Dolores Martinez Samarripa, and son, Rene Samarripa, brothers; Jose Samarripa Jr., Ismael Samarripa,
Raul Samarripa will be missed most by his son, Hector Samarripa, of Sonora, Texas, daughters; Elsa M. Samarripa and Juana Elma Samarripa, both of Uvalde, Texas, brothers; Robert Samarripa, of Kerrville, Texas, Mike Samarripa, of Uvalde, Texas, sisters; Delia Mancha, Olga Vela, Rebecca Chacon, all of Uvalde, Texas, grandchildren; David and wife, Esmeralda Samarripa, of San Antonio, Texas, Renee Samarripa, of Oklahoma City, Joaquin Watson and Madison Watson, of Uvalde, Texas, 1 great-grandchild, Lola “Lolita” Rae Samarripa, of San Antonio, Texas.
Gentlemen serving as Pallbearers; Michael Ray Samarripa, Phillp Samarripa, Beto Rodriguez, Lalo Zamora, all of Uvalde, Texas, Danny Martinez and Joe Ballesteros, both of Austin, Texas.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Tranquility, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas, and
Monday, March 9, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will also be held at 7:00 P.M. both days Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Tranquility, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas, and Monday, March 9, 2020 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Street, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment to follow with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Lovers Lane, Uvalde, Texas.
