Raul Vasquez Jr.'s Obituary
Raul Vasquez Jr.,”Minow” of Sabinal, Texas, born January 30, 1959, in Hondo, Texas, passed away recently. He was the beloved son of the late Raul Vasquez Sr. and Juanita Gomez Vasquez, and was preceded in death by his brother Fernando Vasquez.
Raul is survived by his longtime companion Patricia Barela; stepdaughter Cecilla Jaramillo; stepsons Johnny, Jesse, Jose, and Robert Jaramillo; daughters Juanita Vasquez Santana (husband Adrian Nunez) and Selena Moreno (husband Santiago Moreno); six granddaughters, all of Nampa, Idaho; many nieces and nephews; and sisters Maria (husband Jesse Lopez), Rosie (husband Jesse), and Josie Mendoza, all of Sabinal.
Known as the life of the party, Raul was warm, outgoing, and always surrounded by friends. His laughter, storytelling, and ability to bring people together made every gathering brighter. He loved being with family and friends and shared joy and companionship freely.
He will be missed greatly by his family, who cherished his warmth, humor, and steady presence. His laughter and storytelling filled gatherings with joy, and his kindness and support were a constant source of comfort to children, grandchildren, and siblings alike. In quiet moments they will remember his caring ways and the small everyday gestures that showed how much he loved them. Though deeply mourned, his memory will live on in the stories they share, the traditions he helped shape, and the love he gave so freely.
