Rene A. Hernandez, age 84, of Uvalde, Texas passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Uvalde, Texas. Rene A. Hernandez was born in Junction, Texas on March 22, 1937 to Cruz Hernandez and Frances Aguirre Hernandez. He is preceded in death by both parents, Cruz Hernandez, Frances Aguirre Hernandez, brothers; Raul “Rudy” Hernandez, Arturo Hernandez.
Rene A. Hernandez will be missed most by his loving brothers; Cruz (Eloisa) Hernandez Jr., Alfredo (Gloria) Hernandez, both of Uvalde, sisters; Minerva Gonzales, Lydia (Domingo) Velasquez, both of Uvalde, Texas, sister in law; Elva Hernandez, Uvalde
Pallbearers will be Arturo Hernandez Jr., Otelio Carranza Jr., Rolando Reyes, Dominque Velasquez, Lupe Nolasco and Jerry Gauna.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas.
