Ricardo Barrera Arreola of Uvalde died Thursday, January 25, 2024 by his residence in Uvalde.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Sunday January 28, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on April 4, 1938 in Jimenez Coahuila Mexico to Feliz Barrera and Ricardo Arreola Sr.
Ricardo Barrera Arreola served as a Pastor ministering to everyone and enjoyed preaching the “Lords Word” to all. He worked as a Supervisor/Lead custodian at UCISD for more than 20 years and his commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment made a lasting impact on the school’s community. Mr. Arreola was best d2escribed as a loving father and a dedicated family man. His wife describes him as “the best companion one could have”.
He is survived by his wife Rosenda Arreola of Uvalde, two sons; Gerardo Arreola of San Antonio, Gamaliel Arreola and wife; Roxanne of Bulverde, two daughters; Sonia Arreola Garcia and husband; Jesse, Bertha Wolford all of San Antonio, one brother; Santiago Arreola of Eagle Pass, one sister; Rosatina Guerrero of San Antonio. 4 grandchildren. 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be; Juan Santiago Arreola, Daniel Arreola both of Eagle Pass, Jesse J. Garcia III of San Antonio, Rene Hill Ernesto Martinez Carlos Contreras all of Uvalde.
He is preceded in death by parents; Feliz Barrera Arreola and Ricardo Arreola Sr., brother; Claudio Arreola, sister; Belia Ruiz, grandson; Jewlian Matthew Arreola, daughter-in-law; Denise Renae Arreola.
