Rogelio G. Uballe

Rogelio G. Uballe, a lifelong hard worker and devoted family man, passed away on January 20, 2026, surrounded by love. He was born on February 15, 1956, in Uvalde, Texas, to Pedro T. Uballe and Maria Garza.
Rogelio dedicated his life to providing for his family through honest work. He worked as a field and labor worker, in the yards, at the cotton gin, and as a carpenter. Truly a jack of all trades, Rogelio was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever was needed. He was a man who never backed down from hard work and took pride in everything he did.
He had a joyful spirit and a big heart. Rogelio loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He enjoyed telling jokes, making people laugh, and bringing smiles wherever he went. He also loved visiting casinos, playing slot machines, and going to bingo. Above all, Rogelio was a Christian with strong faith and a deep belief in helping others whenever he could.
Rogelio is survived by his children: Rene Torres; Norman Torres and wife Sylvia; Rogelio Uballe Jr.; Monica Uballe; Juan J. Uballe and wife April Garza; Jose Luis Uballe and wife Maria Luciano; Jahaida Hernandez and husband Pablo Rios; and Magalie Uballe Lopez and husband Jhovani.
He is also survived by his siblings: Roberto G. Uballe, Richardo G. Uballe, Refugio G. Uballe, Ramiro G. Uballe, Maria Teresa Alejanro, Maria Odilia Ortega, and Maria Francesca Galindo.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his 47 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
Rogelio was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro T. Uballe and Maria G. Uballe; his beloved wife, Juanita H. Uballe; his brothers Raul G. Uballe and Ruben G. Uballe; and his grandchildren Gio J. Uballe, Kimberly Vasquez Uballe, and Derek Hernandez.
Rogelio G. Uballe will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, faith, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the generations he leaves behind.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Friday January 30, 2026 from 9:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a prayer service will take place at 7:00 P.M on Thursday January 29, 2026.
Cremation is under the direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
