Ruben Escamilla 86 formally of Uvalde died Monday November 6, 2023 at his residence in Boerne.
Visitation will take place Monday, November 13, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for Tuesday November 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on December 7, 1936 in Hondo to Benita Nira and Jose Escamilla.
Pallbearers will be; Lee Lopez of Round Rock, Kannon Shimp of Knippa, Jeff Saldana of Boerne, Ricky Martinez, Richard Escamilla Jr., Steven Escamilla all of San Antonio.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years; Petra Gomez of Boerne, three sons; Joel Escamilla and wife; Vanessa of Uvalde, Ruben Escamilla Jr. and wife; Erica, Richard Escamilla and wife; Claudia all of San Antonio, one daughter; Joann Thompson and husband; Guy. 8 grandchildren. 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Benita Nira and Jose Escamilla, two brothers; Raul Escamilla, Enrique Escamilla.
