Sergio Adan Rios Valverde, 49 of Uvalde died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at University of New Mexico (UNM Hospital) in Albuquerque.
Visitation will take place Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service is set for Friday November 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on April 23, 1974 in Uvalde to Maria Olivia Rios and Alfred Canales Valverde.
He is survived by both parents: Maria Olivia Rios and Alfred Canales Valverde, one son; Alfonso “Fonzie” Valverde of Albuquerque, one daughter; Isabella “Bella” Louise Valverde of Albuquerque, companion; Allison Brock of Albuquerque and numerous aunts, uncles nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be; Derrick Ballesteros of Uvalde, Mark Morales, Carlos Morales, Christopher Morales, Michael Morales all of Austin and Roberto Moreno of Uvalde, Texas
Honorary Pallbearers will be; Ashley Soto, Kimberly S. Cruz, of San Antonio, Dr. Patrick Zamora of Santa Fe, NM, Eduardo Medrano of Uvalde, Daniel Silva of Dallas, Armando Flores of Minnesota, Nicholas Rios of San Antonio
He is preceded in death by grandparents; Jesus and Margarita Rios, Alfredo and Eloisa Valverde, three aunts; Diana R. Samora, Carmen Gonzales, Ana Padilla and one uncle; Albert Valverde seven cousins; Xavier Jai Rios, David R. Silva, Lucas Zamora IV, Zachary Morales, William Gonzales, Michael Maderkie, Roberto Padilla
