Sotera Sanchez Cassiano, age 72, of Uvalde Texas passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Sotera Sanchez Cassiano was born in Big Wells, Texas on January 28, 1949 to Simon Sanchez and Isabel Perez Sanchez. She is preceded in death by both parents; Simon Sanchez and Isabel Perez Sanchez, husband, Jose G. Ramos, brother; Ernie Sanchez, sisters, Dolores Aguilar, Romana Nava, granddaughter, Zayra Galindo.
Sotera Sanchez Cassiano will be missed most by her loving sons; Oscar Cassiano, of Uvalde, Texas, Mike Cassiano, of Butner, North Carolina, daughters; Melvie (Wesley) Richardson, of Uvalde, Texas, Teresa (Scott Michael) Berg, of Ft. Benning, Georgia, brothers; Simon Sanchez, of Uvalde, Texas, Francisco Sanchez, Santa Rosa, Texas, Arturo Sanchez, Waukegan, Illinois, sisters; Epifania Flores, of Big Wells, Josefina Garza, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Paula Garza, of Park City, Illinois, Cresencia Sanchez, of Round Lake, Illinois, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren,.
The Cassiano Family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation during this time as we allow only 100 percent capacity but still required mask coverings during all services.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Monday, March 29, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. and Monday, March 29, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, 424 Geraldine Street, Uvalde, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Uvalde, Texas.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, HWY 90 @ 527 Sgt. Alvarez Lane, Uvalde, Texas.
