Teresa Moreno's Obituary
Teresa De Jesus Gonzales Moreno, age 68, of Uvalde, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 15, 1957, in Uvalde, Texas, to Daniel Gonzales and Juanita De Hoyos.
Teresa was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warm spirit touched everyone she met. She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother, always putting the needs of her children and loved ones before her own. Teresa enjoyed listening to music, spending time outdoors, and visiting with family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to cross her path. Her welcoming heart and friendly conversations brought comfort and joy to many throughout her life.
A faithful Catholic woman, Teresa carried her faith with strength and grace. She found happiness in the simple moments of life and treasured every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four daughters: Angelica Moreno, Margarita Lopez and husband Eddie, Cristina Moreno, and Norma De La Santos; one son, Jose Moreno; four sisters: Rosa Alorro, Ascencion Gonzales, Ines Arroyo, and Jany Vasquez; two brothers: Enrique Ortega and John Gonzales; and her eleven beloved grandchildren: Adain Flores, Bethany Mia Moreno, Alexia Moreno, Candace Moreno, Faith Moreno, Paris Camargo, Israel Camargo, Deserray Tristan, Jackie Lopez, Eddie Lopez Jr., and Justin Andrew Lopez.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Gonzales and Juanita De Hoyos, and by her beloved son, Jose Moreno III.
A Visitation will be held Monday, May 25, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M.
Cremation is under the direction of Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home
Teresa will be remembered for her loving heart, her caring nature, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
