Theodore “Teddy” Freeman Ellison, 83 of Brackettville died Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Amistad Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Uvalde.
Cremation to follow.
He was born on June 20, 1939 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Frances Adams and Clyde Gilford.
Theodore “Teddy” Freeman Ellison worked for Central Freight Lines as a line driver for 28 years. He retired as maintenance supervisor in 2009 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Cordova, Tennessee where then he moved to Brackettville to be with the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; Carolyn Dianne Smith of Brackettville. They married October 23, 1974 at City Hall in Marshall, Texas, two sons; Jerold Ellison of Arkansas, Everett Don Ellison of Scroggins, one daughter; Julie Creel and husband; Ricky of Brackettville, two brothers; Joseph Wayne Ellison, Clyde Gilford Ellison Jr. both of Oklahoma, one sister; Ruby June Cox of Missouri, four grandchildren; Jeremy C. Ellison of Tennessee, Kymberlie D. Earwood, Travis L. Earwood, Kristopher L. Creel, Kamron L. Creel all of Brackettville.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Frances Adams and Clyde Gilford, one daughter; Frances Jean Ellison, one brother; Thomas Ray Ellison.
