Uncle Wayne was the best, as a child I don’t remember a time in my life he wasn’t around. My dad and him were the best of friends for as long as I can remember. I remember all the Pony Express’s we went to, the weekends of being at each other’s houses with us kids running around playing while the parents played 42. Which I’m sure by now Uncle Wayne and Dad are already together catching up and playing 42. They just better not cheat up there like they did against mom and Aunt Debbie. They might get a little swatting if they do. LOL

Wayne was a great brother in law and friend. He was full of life and energy. Always ready to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. Some of my fondest memories are playing water volleyball, riding horses and him “trying” to teach me to ride a scooter. You fought a hard battle and earned your wings. RIP ❤️

I remember going out to the place in Azle and we would sometimes get to ride horses. Ans after, he would “sneak” us pounds of Jolly Ranchers. I think mom and dad were on to him!

Uncle Wayne gave me the first Christmas 🎄 present that I remember: BurBur (a small stuffed Santa ) - I loved that thing ❣️️ And he and the boys would carry me on their shoulders to ride Trigger ( the mechanical horse) in front of Hometown Grocery Store there in White Settlement. Him & Deb would give my girls bags of Jolly Ranchers 😂 I hate sticky 😳candy but knew not to object😂.
And He loved showing us around Fort Clark on his golf cart. Love you always

It’s hard to narrow it down to one memory because I have several summers that my Papa made so much better. One that I think will always stick out to me will be when my brothers and I would come to visit. He shared everything… his house, his horses, all the fun trails through the fort on the golf carts… but Papa did NOT share his Bluebell homemade vanilla icecream with peaches. For his babygirl though? My brothers would go to bed and we’d sneak right into the kitchen to make our bowls. That grin he would give me with that little wink he always did… it makes my heart smile just thinking about it. We love you so so much and miss you deeply Pa
