Tomas Tovias Martinez, 85 of Uvalde died Friday, December 23, 2022 at his residence in Uvalde.
A Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 28, 2022 and Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. both days at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home where a Rosary will begin at 7:00P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2022. A Mass set for Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde. Interment to follow.
He was born on December 28, 1936 in Jimenez, Coah. Mexico to Luis Martinez and Benita Tovias-Martinez.
He is survived by his two sons; Thomas Martinez and wife; Linda, Ernesto Martinez and wife; Patricia all of Uvalde one daughter; Maria Elena Galvan husband; Armando of Uvalde, three brothers; Ignacio Martinez of Uvalde, Carlos Martinez of Wisconsin, Francisco Martinez of Kerrville, five sisters; Victoria Pena of Uvalde, Ramona Krause of Wisconsin, Lidia Martinez of Uvalde, Rita Mize of Uvalde, Abby Martinez of Grapevine. 6 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ernesto Martinez Jr., Christopher Martinez, Marcos Galvan, Tammie Martinez, Tara Martinez all of Uvalde, Jorge Palacios of Hondo. Honorary Pallbearers; Ernesto Martinez III and Adam Jose Martinez of Uvalde.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Petra Martinez parents; Luis and Benita Tovias-Marinez, brother; Jesus Martinez, three grandchildren; Tommy Martinez III, Jose Luis Martinez and Talisha Martinez.
