He was born on June 5, 1947 in Brownwood to Dorothy Diane McDowell and Charles Vernon Griffin Sr.
He is survived by his spouse; Janice Elaine Griffin of Uvalde, two sons; Gary Griffin Jr. of Brackettville, Gregory Charles Griffin and wife; Jennifer of College Station, one brother; Charles Griffin and wife; Kay of Boerne. 4 granddaughters. Numerous nieces.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Dorothy Diane McDowell Griffin and Charles Vernon Griffin Sr., one son; Brian Arthur Griffin.

Memorial Service set for 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 343 North Getty Street in Uvalde.
