Friend
Jaime was one of those friends you don’t meet too often in life, a guy with integrity and morals.
I remember I met Jaime when we were both just kids in school. I was being bullied by a couple bigger guys, I defended myself but the guys were bigger and there were three. Jaime took notice of it and stepped in. Keep in mind Jaime didn’t know me or anything at the time. He just saw injustice happening and figured he would step up and do something. He had some words with the guys and then after that I didn’t get bullied again. He didn’t have to step up for a stranger, but did. It’s strange how him helping someone like me out in that way could lead to a lifelong friendship.
This was how he was as a person, he had a strong sense of justice, moral integrity and didn’t mind helping out a stranger always with a smile and friendly ways. This is how we became friends all these years. I greatly respected him and proud to call him my friend. When I heard the news of his passing I was in tears, I usually don’t get emotional, but he was such a great friend to me. I will greatly miss the laughs, the conversations and talking about mechanic stuff with him.
I am going to ride my motorcycle in your honor friend. The same bike you helped me turn wrenches on. Rest in peace Jaime, thanks for stepping up for me when I needed it all those years ago, you made an impact on my life. May God be with you and also comfort your family in this fragile time. You are with God now, until we meet again brother, it was great knowing you in this life. I’ll be praying for you.
