My mama and Ms.Sylvia worked together and hung out. I remember her being a wonderful host that had an air of compassion, fun, and wisdom. It's a blessing that I have another connection with her of being fellow sisters in Christ, but also a member of the military. Praying for her family as they grieve not seeing her again on this side of heaven, but also have joy in knowing she is in the arms of her LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. See you later Ms. Sylvia! 🥰
My beautiful friend. We were always so distant but yet so close. You welcomed me into your life and was always a true, dedicated friend. I remember our trip to Big Wells many years ago and spending time with you and your family. I remember Louie teaching me how to dance. I remember our kids playing and the backyard parties! I'm so heart broken but so grateful that you were a child of God and I'll see you again in heaven.
This news gives me sadness. I also share gladness in knowing Sylvia had a personal relationship with God. Sylvia was one of the best Dispatchers the Fort Worth Police Department ever had. She took care of us (Officers) while we were out on patrol. We became quick friends once we met each other in person. I heard her voice over the Police radio for almost a year before we met in person. Sylvia was intelligent and caring. She had a bubbly personality. To her family and friends ; you have our sincerest condolences 🧡. My husband, Daniel A. Meza and I are both retired, Fort Worth Police Officers.

My name is Jo Woods and I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Sylvia for almost 20 years at Fort Worth Police Communication Division.
Sylvia had a way of "keeping it real" and making you laugh at the situation at the same time. Every May the women in the communications division would gather with all the women born in May have a good time at Railhead Restaurant. If any of us dared to talk "shop" at these gatherings Sylvia has her unique way of shutting the discussion down by finding something humorous in it and have everyone in stitches.
I have many more sweet memories of Sylvia (my nickname for her was ''Syl'). I'll treasure those memories in my heart.
Her energy and positive spirit. She will be greatly missed.
